WHERE THE MONEY GOES

Our goal is to support the MS Society of Canada.

Our goal is to ensure that every possible penny raised through Race4MS goes towards Multiple Sclerosis.  There are administration costs that must be accounted for and our mandate is to be completely open about all of the expenses incurred by running the program.

Our primary goal is to support the MS Society of Canada whose mandate is to first and foremost find a cure for MS.

Our secondary goal is to support those living with MS through programs offered at various local chapters of the MS Society of Canada.  For the 2011 campaign, we are allocating a percentage of the funds raised to the South Vancouver Island Chapter in Victoria BC, which offers programs and services to help people living with MS.  We feel that programs like these are essential to help people cope with the disease on a day to day basis in their own community.

The percentage breakdown is as follows:

MS Society of Canada – 70% – allocated to various MS Society of Canada initiatives including their local chapters that help people living with the disease cope on a day to day basis.

Administration Costs – up to a maximum of 30% for marketing and communication costs, team uniforms, team building events, etc.

Wherever possible we will be sourcing sponsorship to cover administration costs and our goal is to come in well under 30%.  A detailed document will be provided at the conclusion of each year that outlines where funds have been spent.
